Logbook Skills training for a future in commercial Maritime and Maritime Tourism Industries.

Starting with your Boat License, or Special Permit to drive a boat, and a "Logged Sea Time book" are essential requirements for maritime and riverboat operator qualifications.

All Avoca trust students, while completing their required VETIS tech studies, will maintain and build their seaman's log by volunteering as crew on many boats. Their log is their key to a boat Licence, and entry to Commercial maritime Qualifications. The essential for commercial qualification is logbook evidence of time crewing or operating a boat.
