School ships, home & school.
SA Government says it has no funding to assist the Schools ships as a student hostel. We will continue to apply the right to Student Hostel Funding to purchase the school ships as Student Hostels for students at risk of dropout.
We rely on 100% Tax deductible gifts, Current gift value $25, to provide the right to Occupy one Berth for one Night each year on one of our school ships. We invite families and regional busineses to "Donate the right to Occupy a school ship berth"; to purchase the school ships.
School ship fees cover the recurrent costs of ship operations, residential care teacher and catering as for a remote student school hostel.
All our students will be enrolled in a state school to supervise their learning program. We expect State School teachers to regularly deliver the classes on the ships.
The Avoca Trust Community Board
Avoca Trust is a Nationally Accredited Educational Charity, approved to issue 100% Deductible Gift Receipts for "Education about, and care of, the Natural Murray River Environment."
To ensure its continuing life, we have a management club structure with a Members' Board of Management.
